As the company’s first CHRO, Soo established the human resources function for the hyper-growth, highly entrepreneurial, agile and collaborative global organization.
Soo has been recognized for her work, being named one of Hot Topic’s Tech HR100 http://bit.ly/1PLg144 and as a recipient of the 2015 IFMA-NYC Innovators Award for “adapting a unique company culture that has helped [the company] stay ahead of the curve, positively impacted employees, and is key to overall success.”
Previously, Soo was with Booz Allen Hamilton, advising clients on a variety of strategic and organizational issues, and also served as a member of the firm's HR Operations team. She held senior strategic planning and development positions with Synapse Group, a division of Time Inc., where she was responsible for customer acquisition programs for magazines such as ESPN and Real Simple.
Soo received her M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she was a recipient of the Dean’s Award of Distinction. She graduated with a B.A. cum laude in American studies from Wellesley College, which she completed in three years.
Soo has previously served on the international advisory board of the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, as a board member for the Alumni Club of NY for the Booth School of Business, and as a Board member of the Battery Dance Company.
